1. A series of operations performed in the making or treatment of a product.
2. A 20 minute seamless and thermo-bonded asphalt restoration for a 5'x7' road opening.

The repair area is swept clean and marked out 6” with a chalk line.
The infrared chamber is placed over the repair area, and the asphalt is heated for 8-10 minutes.
A steel rake is used to scarify the hot asphalt within the repair area.
Scarified material is removed to below grade to allow for new FABC.
FABC is added to the repair , and looted to grade.
The repair is compacted using a vibratory roller creating 2500 lbs per square inch of compaction.
The result is a seamless permanent to grade Infrared Restoration

State, County, and Local Authorities mandate Underground Utilities to use Infra-Red restoration on newly paved roads for permanent and seamless repairs.
Paving Contractors use Atlantic Infra-Red to repair punch list items such as bird baths or raveling to release them from bonds.
Property Owners and Managers request infrared for the repair of potholes to extend the life of parking lots and roadways.
Fast Food and Convenience Store Owners contract Atlantic Infra-Red for permanent pothole repair and oil marks in parking stalls.
Service Stations use Atlantic Infra-Red to repair utility trenches, restore abandoned well sites, and repair potholes.

The past three winters will be remembered for a long time. Frigid temperatures kept gas and water crews working around the clock. In many cases leaks occurred in newly paved roads. In the past, the utility companies would be required to mill and pave large areas around these repairs, at a huge expense to satisfy county and municipal requirements. In recent years Atlantic Infra-Red has worked with the utility industry as a liaison between county and municipal engineers, to require infrared as the preferred method of asphalt restoration. In doing so the utilities save money, while the authorities and taxpayers get better repairs on their roads.
